• An organic solvent and also an important internal plasticizing copolymer monomer.
• In the field of polymers: It is used as an internal plasticizing monomer in resin synthesis to modify the resin, increase plasticity and cross-linking. The proportion in the copolymer monomer should be less than 10%.
• When copolymerized with vinyl acetate monomer, it produces a copolymer with excellent gloss, excellent film-forming property, good adhesion to the substrate and excellent resistance to pollution, making it an ideal base material for latex paint.
• The copolymer with ethylene has extremely good adhesive properties, sealing property to the substrate, and can be used to bond metals and non-metals.
